CUTS! CUTS! CUTS!

The next election is YOUR opportunity to vote to give the Albion Party the mandate the county needs to reform and restucture the workings of Government for the 21st century! Let’s bury the ‘Old Boys Club’ once and for all! Dont let the media hijack the election for their own benefit……

Pre General Election Statement September 2009

The issues for the next General Election are:

  • Reform of MP’s pay, Financial Services & Parliament
  • 4000 Bills in 15 yrs, 2500 badly draft laws, 150 need taking off the statute book, i.e. like the current child protection database.
  • Be a nation of Savers and not living on Credit
  • Local issue, securing a £ 1.5 billion investment for Shropshire.

Do you know what the pay of a backbench MP is?

  • Mr Kawczynski our MP for Shrewsbury is £221,497, had he worked a little harder he could have had another £25,000.
  • 5 MP’s for Shropshire cost tax payers approx £1.25 million.

Do we get value for money?  No.

  • Did you know that David Cameron collects 20p per mile for every mile when he rides his bike?

Locally - How would £1.5 billion be spent?

  • First priority would be to link the 2 business parks to the town centre with a tram/light railway system.
  • Create a bus and coach terminus and multi story car park off Howard street with a walk way into the station.
  • Demolish Shirehall, prior to this, they would be re-housed in a refurbished Flaxmill.
  • Canals. Urgent priority should be given to the repair and restoration work of the Montgomery canal, with the start of reopening the Newport to Shrewsbury canal.

 Dear Elector

I should like to thank all those people who voted for me in the May Elections, but truthfully although the Conservatives took the seat, they could only muster approx 22% of the electorate to their agenda, with all the media coverage etc, it was a very poor showing. 5 months of this new council, it is certainly going to be a political quangos well into the future while it does a massive consultation to decide Shropshire’s priorities.  In this time of economic crisis, attracting customers to Shropshire has to be a No1 priority with a £1.5 billion investment into our infrastructure, in order to keep low overheads. Starting by linking Battlefield & Meole Brace business parks to the town centre with a tram/light railway connection. Improve road access to the railway station with a bus and coach Terminus & multi store car park. The government has allocated £80 million for the N.W.R.R, this is a poisonous chalice.

Alcohol miss use & binge drinking.

This is another big challenge for society. The only way to effectively tackle this issue is society needs to have a change of attitude to alcohol use in our daily life. The vast majority of these young people who go on binge drinking sessions have parents and grandparents who miss use alcohol. This is the nub of the issue.

Political system in need of a though radical overhaul

Backbench MP’s cost taxpayers £200/250,000 per year, for what?To look frantically busy passing laws at the behest of a over-mighty executive, with hardly a clue as to what they are doing, trooping into the lobbies like sheep, voting Aye or Nay according to the party Whips, bent only on maintaining their perks and positions, rather than the dictates of their conscience.Solution- Abolish all allowances & pensions. MP’s are not employed by the state but are classified as Self Employed; hence they would have the same tax allowance as self employed/small businesses. A fee of £150,000 per year for MP’s to run their political businesses. Reduce the numbers of MP’s to approx 450.

This is what the Conservative Mayor of London Boris Johnson says:

The next Parliament needs to have a number of rebellious MP’s, who will defy the whips and vote from the heart, which would derail the machinery of the law-making. His vision is 400 quality MPs on a higher fee! Does the country go into voluntary liquidation and be 51st State of America? NO. Or be a Union state of Europe with Mr Blair President of Europe? NO . Yes we should be a member of the EU as a economic trading partner, especially as we have a history as a nation of wheeling & dealing, hence we should use our financial power as a World Power (4th) to save the world from self destruction as the United Nations and Nato have no further  constructive use in the 21 century. The Albion Party would follow in the steps of the UK cricket team in conquering the World to be a Independent World Power in this global world to reduce conflict and eliminate global people poverty.

Growth and consumption will be in the end of us all

Three main parties rely on economic growth to implement their financial budgets; this can only be achieved by an increase in      population, 15million in the next 25 yrs and or higher consumption, all on this over crowded island.  With an in balance in the global economies, it is more likely the planet will not be habitable; it will be a matter of survival rather than growth. The main Parties are burying their heads in the sands and assuming that business as usual can resume tomorrow. To meet this challenge, the Albion Party will run a sustainable economy. Firstly by a “make do and mend” and exporting strategy.  Manufacturing has to much spare capacity because it does not produce products at affordable prices, like India and China. Workers have to choose between being a beggar on the street or contribute to lowering overheads in order to have full manufacturing capacity.  Secondly Our Bankers in the City. They are going to be the lifeboat to our economy if the nation is going to be the financial power house in the global world. Our Darling Darling Chancellor, his tough new regulations on bankers is going to be like ‘bindweed’ in the garden. He has it all wrong. Reform of the financial services is needed in order to create a freer and simpler regulation to stimulate the Investment banking sector.  The city needs to have that buss about the stock exchange; this is best when bankers “live or die by the sword”.  Government only needs to have a “rescue plan” for when they go bust. People on low incomes with mortgages, are secured so as not to loose their homes. With this in place, a robust enforcement is required; it was the lack of enforcement which was a major contributing factor to the present situation. 2500 badly drafted laws and the child protection database plus 150 bills, need removing from the statute book, this Cow Boy law making by the political parties, has cost the nation billions. £42 million is small beer for the Phoenix Four, Lord Mendleson and other political party MP’s need putting out to graze for 5 years. This is the best way for lessons to be learnt to Party politicians. Food, safety and securityAre you concerned about the future supplies of your food?
