Gentry Tour
In earlier, more elegant times, noble families would retreat to their country estates to escape the noise and bustle of London. Why not follow their example and enjoy a taste of the Gentry lifestyle for a few days?
Whilst we cannot promise you a suite in a mansion, we will arrange for you to stay at one of our finest hotels, where your comfort is top priority. We will arrange for you to dine in style at a Michelin Star restaurant, or one of our many fine country restaurants.
Whatever the season, we can offer you a wide range of activities to enjoy in style. There are several excellent golf courses, shooting ranges and equestrian centres, or perhaps you would like to be pampered at a luxurious Health Spa.
You may like to relive the early days of motoring by being chauffer driven in a vintage car to the theatre, or in the summer to an open-air classical music concert in the grounds of Attingham Park, one of England’s finest Regency mansions. We can even provide a luxury picnic hamper with champagne.
You can enjoy ‘The Sport of Kings’ at the Ludlow races, or attend a theatrical Shakespeare production in the ruins of Ludlow castle. We have many elegant mansions you may wish to visit to enjoy the wonderful gardens and peaceful surroundings of an English Country estate.
Peasants Tour
At times you really need to get away from it all, but funds may be a little ‘tight’. Forget the city break with its temptations to ‘break the bank’; you can visit Shropshire on a shoestring, and we can show you how.
Why not take our ‘Peasant’s Tour’ of Shropshire? Please don’t let the title of this tour put you off! You will not have to plough fields, milk cows or clean out the pig sties!
This tour is designed as a budget break. We will arrange your accommodation in one of a number of excellent comfortable and friendly B&B’s, where you will receive a true Shropshire welcome - and a hearty breakfast! Evening meals can be either at your Guest House or one of the local pubs where good food and good ale are the Landlord’s pride.
You can join one of our Themed Tours, or simply take in the delights of the towns and villages, or explore the lovely Shropshire hills - a walker’s paradise.
There are many interesting museums and historic places of interest like The Ironbridge Gorge museum or Roman Wroxeter - and maybe you could pay a visit to the Vineyard nearby and sample some English wines! Who needs the French vineyards when we can grow our own?
Tailor Made Tour
Now this is where it gets really exciting! You create your own itinerary.
Hopefully you will already have seen the other tours and mini-breaks we have to offer. With this Tailor Made Tour, the choice of activity is yours. You can choose any item or event previously described to create your own ‘bespoke’ mini-break or tour, or simply let us know if you have any other requirements not specified here, and we shall arrange everything for you.
We can collect you from the mainline railway station or airport and take you to your pre-booked destination, either a cosy B&B or a top class hotel.
We will organise any tour or visit of your choice and can arrange theatre tickets, dinner reservations, or concert trips. You may wish to go horse riding, take a trip over the lovely Shropshire hills by hot air balloon. Perhaps you would like to go gliding or rock climbing, or maybe you would prefer something a little less strenuous like a canal trip or a visit to one of our many stately homes or castles, or a gentle round of golf.
The options are endless and the choice really is yours…wherever you wish to go, or whatever you want to do, we can tailor this mini-break to your own personal requirements.
