Shropshire Tours
Winter or summer, Shropshire is undeniably one of the loveliest and most peaceful counties in England with a wide range of places to visit and activities to offer the visitor.
We have wonderful lakes and mosses in the north of the county and breathtaking hills in the south. We have trout streams to fish and forests to explore. The River Severn meanders through beautiful hidden valleys and mediaeval towns and villages. We have ancient hill forts, picture book castles and stately homes.
You may like to take a nostalgic trip from Bridgnorth to Bewdley on the Severn Valley Railway, or perhaps glide gently along the Shropshire & Llangollen Canal, or the River Severn at Shrewsbury. You can visit the pre-historic stone circle at Mitchell’s Fold and monastic ruins.
Shropshire saw the birth of many of the worlds ‘Firsts’. From the first Parliament for Commoners to the Industrial Revolution and the creation of the worlds first iron bridge. Revisit the Industrial Revolution at Blists Hill in the Ironbridge Gorge and see what life was really like in this perfectly re-created Victorian industrial town.
Shropshire has many famous sons and daughters including; Charles Darwin; Clive of India; Mary Webb and many other fascinating and eccentric characters featuring in some of our specialized Themed Tours.
You can attend the races at Ludlow, or the theatre or go to a concert, classical or pop.
In fact, there is so much to see and do here, that we can’t fit it all on this website - you will just have to come and sample the delights of Shropshire for yourselves.
We are certain you will want to come back again.
